About
Hi! My name is Jean Fulton. I live in West Dundee, Illinois, with my husband, Steve. Semi-retired from full-time employment in corporate communications, I decided to share with others how my encounters with the natural world continually amaze, surprise, delight and inspire me. I am especially passionate about birds, but I love experiencing all kinds of wildlife as well as the beauty of the sky, water and land. It is in the spirit of this quote from Rachel Carson’s landmark book, Silent Spring, that I share my stories, as well as some inspiring words of other nature writers I admire:
“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts.
There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature – the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.”
